EXHIBITION: PAINTING X 2021 - “Four Reigns, The Musical” is based on Thai conservative literature which honors the king in the Absolute Monarchy. The literature honors people who was born into a noble family and attacks the changes that lead to democracy. I think this literature is very powerful in the sense that it can instill various ideologies of Thailand from the past that still exist until the present. I intend to use the images of this stage play from online media as prototype to paint realistic pictures, to reproduce the image of the individual’s thoughts and feelings that arise under the phenomena of the era.
